We’re delighted to welcome Dave Newick and Will Sellar as Trustees, alongside Santha Brown as Observer, to the New Zealand Football Foundation Board. They replace outgoing trustees Aliesha Staples and Craig Wheatley.
Dave, who joins as the new Board Chair, brings extensive executive leadership and governance experience across community sport and purpose-led organisations, with a strong track record in strategic growth, financial stewardship, and transformation.
Will adds significant investment and commercial expertise, contributing experience in capital allocation, long-term value creation, and governance within high-growth environments.
Santha joins with senior programme and governance experience spanning local government and major events – including the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, bringing valuable insight to the Board.
Lucy Pomeroy, who joined the Foundation in 2021, is also confirmed as the new Deputy Chair.
Together, their combined expertise strengthens the Foundation’s strategic oversight and long-term ambition to grow inclusive community football across Aotearoa, and we are delighted to have them on board.
Every team needs supporters. At the New Zealand Football Foundation we are so grateful for our partners who believe in Football For Good just as much as we do. They know the power of sport to make real change in society and they are committed to helping us do the māhi to support our communities. The generosity of our partners is crucial to enable us to support so many worthy projects.
