David Newick

Trustee

David is a Chief Executive and community-focused leader with a strong track record in growing and transforming purpose-led organisations operating at the intersection of performance and community impact.

His career spans senior executive leadership and governance across commercial and community sport environments. Most recently, he led a global B2B organisation through significant strategic and operational transformation, strengthening financial performance and long-term sustainability.

Alongside his executive career, David has held senior governance roles in football, including as President and Chair of a large club. He has supported participation growth, secured long-term funding partnerships and strengthened relationships across local and central government.

David brings to the Foundation extensive experience in strategy, financial stewardship and values-led leadership - supporting the Foundation’s focus on sustainable growth and inclusive community football.

David joined the Foundation in February 2026.

Bequests can be gifts of personal property, money, stock, bonds or valuables which are directed to the Foundation by the provisions in your will. Endowments benefit football by making the Foundation a beneficiary of your endownment fund.
