
Neil joined the Football Foundation as Chief Executive Officer in October 2023 and has been working in the sport sector in New Zealand since 2008.
His most recent role saw him manage the upgrade of 11 training venues in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Neil previously managed Auckland Council's Sport & Recreation team and has worked in both regional sports organisations and in New Zealand club governance as a volunteer, so has a practical understanding of the challenges that clubs face.
Neil has a Sport Science BSc from Loughborough University in the UK and worked for Soccer.com in the USA before moving to New Zealand.
