James joined the New Zealand Football Foundation in 2026 as an intern, bringing a strong interest in football development and the wider sport industry.
He is currently completing a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation at Auckland University of Technology, where he has developed a keen interest in participation, community sport, and the impact organisations can have on growing the game. Outside of study, James is passionate about football and enjoys staying active through social sport such as golf and 5 a side football.
During this internship, James will work on Looking at how other foundations and charities are growing participation and what can be learned from them, alongside understanding what federations, clubs, and New Zealand Football are doing in both participation and commercial spaces
Through this experience, James is looking to gain practical industry insight and develop skills that will support a future career in sport, with the opportunity to build skills in research, communication, and sports administration.
