Who we are

David Bell

Trustee

David is a Partner and CFO at Oriens Capital, with more than 20 years’ experience in senior finance and investment-related roles across New Zealand and internationally.

A Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Directors, David has held governance and investment committee roles across the private equity and community sectors. His experience spans financial oversight, capital allocation, risk management and strategic investment decision-making.

David has also been actively involved in football, both as a former national league player and in governance roles within the Waikato Bay of Plenty Football Federation, as well as coaching junior and youth teams.

He brings to the Foundation strong financial stewardship and risk oversight capability, supporting its long-term sustainability and responsible growth.

David joined the Foundation in February 2021.
