Izzy joined the Football Foundation as a Project Coordinator in September 2025 and will continue in this role for a 12-month internship.
She comes to us from Loughborough University in the UK, where she is studying a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Izzy has a keen interest in group dynamics and leadership, workplace culture and coaching.
Having developed a passion for sport from a young age, Mia has primarily engaged in team sports such as netball, and hockey. Her enthusiasm for netball led her down a coaching pathway where she worked on youth development in both the UK and in Zambia.
Through this internship, Izzy aims to gain valuable insights into the internal operations of the New Zealand Football Foundation, which will assist her in shaping her future career path and objectives.
Over the next 12 months, Izzy will focus on several key initiatives, including content development, grants, digitization projects, grant success stories, and event support.
Every team needs supporters. At the New Zealand Football Foundation we are so grateful for our partners who believe in Football For Good just as much as we do. They know the power of sport to make real change in society and they are committed to helping us do the māhi to support our communities. The generosity of our partners is crucial to enable us to support so many worthy projects.
